Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Jose Figueroa started playing baseball at the age of 6 in Los Caobos, Ponce where he found his passion for the game in which he trained hard and developed advanced skills that led him to play professionally with Los Maseteros of Vega Alta, PR at the age of 22.
Continued playing and bacame an Associate Scout for the Texas Ranges, from there moved forward and became an Associate Scout for the Pirates of Pittsburgh.
Later on started working as a firstbase coach for the Leones de Ponce (Ponce, PR) in a professional rookie league.
In 1998 moved to USA and his baseball career took a pause to guide his younger son and help him reach his goal of playing college baseball. It was a success as his younger son started playing with Alabama State University.
In 2013 Jose Figueroa started working as a high school baseball coach with the Osceola Kowboys (Kissimmee, FL) while simultaneously being an associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles and started working with big travel ball organizations until 2017 when Figs Baseball Prospects formed.
In January 2020, Jose Figueroa started working for Central Pointe Christian Academy (CPCA) as an assistant coach until May 2021.
Right after, In August 2021, Jose Figueroa in partnership with Osmin Melendez created the best private high school baseball program in the entire Central Florida at Reborn Christian Academy, Kissimmee.
